Blessings To All! We greet you in the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and welcome you to the website of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Church of God In Christ Youth Department. We feel honored and thankful that you have taken the time to visit our site and pray that you are blessed as you browse the various Youth programs that God has entrusted us with and that He may be glorified.
The purpose of our website is to share information with you about who we are, what we are doing, and what we are planning to do as a State Youth Department.
The Commonwealth Youth Department has a very rich history in youth ministry that started under the capable leadership of the late Bishop Ozro Thurston Jones, Sr., and still today our Bishop Emeritus, Bishop Ozro Thurston Jones, Jr.
We are thankful and appreciative that our State Prelate, Bishop Benjamin J. Ravenel allowed us to serve the youth of the Commonwealth.
The Commonwealth Youth Department offers the following ministries: Young Women of Excellence, *YWE), Young Men of Valor (YMV), Youth Advisory Board (YAB), Youth Congress Choir (YCC), Oratorical Contest, Bible Bowl, and Recreation. These ministries aid our youth in their development and growth spiritually, emotionally, and socially. They also provide an avenue for fellowship amongst the saints. In such a time as this, we are very concerned for our youth of the Commonwealth as wella s the youth of our nation and that is why we are training them now to "Remember now thy creator in the days of thy youth, while the..come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them" Ecclesiastes 12:1.

Thought:
When we were baptized into Christ, we shared in his crucifixion and we were raised up to be a new person. Christ is alive in us. the real challenge is for us to be Christ alive in our world! Our motivation? Not to earn salvation, which has already been given us by grace, but to honor him who sacrificed all to save us.
Prayer:
Thank you God, for loving me and sending Jesus Christ to redeem me from my sin. I commit to you today that I will live by faith in your Son who gave himself so I can spend eternity with you. Iask that by your Spirit, you help Jesus' life be seen in me. Through him I pray. Amen.
